The team at Gallus currently comprises 14 highly experienced, pragmatic and client focused consultants based across Christchurch and Dunedin.  we bring a wide range of consulting skills to our clients from strategic consultancy to project management, business analysis, testing and integration.

Gallus is lead by our experienced Senior Team below.

Matt Richardson - Director

Matt is the founder and Director of Gallus Consulting. In addition to leading the organisation, Matt's consulting focus at Gallus is in IT and business strategy development, programme and project management along with assisting businesses to facilitate organisational change.

Matt brings over 20 years of consulting and leadership experience in both the ICT and business arenas. 

His experience includes;

  • Leading and managing consultancy practices
  • Acting Chief Information Officer and IT Group Manager roles
  • Development and implementation of IT strategies for a range of large New Zealand organisations
  • Managing a range of large scale project and programmes including managing a national programme management office.

Andreas Prager - Principal Consultant

Andreas is a highly motivated outcome orientated consultant. His focused leadership and excellent interpersonal skills ensure successful working relationships with both management and staff.

Andreas has over 25 years' experience consulting and managing in the ICT sector in Australia and New Zealand.


His experience includes;

  • Extensive consulting experience in IT operations, process re-engineering, and business performance improvement  across a broad range of industry sectors
  • Senior ICT Management roles
  • Project and programme management.

Craig Gillard - Principal Consultant

Craig is a goal-oriented consultant who is passionate and driven in delivering great outcomes for clients. He runs and leads major programmes of work for clients and using his comprehensive business, change management and technical skill sets he has a proven ability to work across both business and IT environments.

He has over 16 years' experience as a Programme Manager, Project Manager and Senior Business Analyst and has worked for a range of large corporate and consultancy organisations both in New Zealand and the UK.  

His experience includes;

  • Project and Programme management
  • Lead Analyst roles
  • Senior IT and  Business Analyst roles.

John Molyneux - Otago Partner

John Molyneux

John has over 25 years in senior management, director and company ownership roles.  He brings to the table an assortment of experiences and learnings that he uses to coach his customers down the right path.  John is a business person who understands the business realities and practicalities of digital transformation, whether a user or a provider. 

John specialises in helping business growth. He has facilitated programmes of growth for many organisations and is using this understanding alongside proven methodologies into powerful tools to aid a business, product or service start-up, deliver business improvements, enable change or income growth.   A driver of change for organisations who know how important it is to improve every day. John has a track record of taking on difficult challenges and delivering.

He greatly enjoys the process of analysing a situation, creating a plan and executing, being part of a team or leading from the front. John values new ways of working and experiences of how the place of work and business is changing. He is a strategic thinker and ideas person who creates alternate and exciting solutions that solve business issues.

Having recently worked with some of Otago and Southland's most successful organisations, John believes, that if you are responsible for your customers' successes, your level of achievement will be directly proportional to the quality of people, your processes and the work environment.
